PLC programming & diagnostics.

We programme and fault-find Mitsubishi PLCs across the FX and R series range, including R2R inverter drives. GX Works 3 and GT Designer 3 are our day-to-day tools.

If your press won't sequence, your drives are throwing faults, or the OEM won't pick up the phone on older kit — we can help.

The other things we get called for.

Day-to-day workshop services. Each one is something we've done a hundred times and built proper processes around. Pick the closest match — if it's not on this list, ring us anyway.

CASE · SVC-002 Retrofit

Servo retrofits.

Symptom: Press is mechanically sound but the drives are old, slow, or unreliable. Spares are getting harder to find.

We strip out the old servo system and fit a modern equivalent — new drives, new wiring, updated PLC integration. Adds another decade of working life to a press that would otherwise be scrap. Done in our workshop or on your factory floor.

CASE · SVC-003 Cleaning

Anilox roll cleaning.

Symptom: Ink transfer is dropping. Cells clogged with cured ink, dried adhesive, or dirt build-up.

Deep clean of anilox rolls to restore cell volume and bring transfer back to spec. Costs a fraction of replacement, returns the roll like new. Quick turnaround on collection — or we'll come on-site for high-volume jobs.

CASE · SVC-004 Cleaning

Cylinder & component cleaning.

Symptom: Print cylinders, plate cylinders, and other components running dirty or out of spec.

Stripped, inspected, deep-cleaned, returned ready to run. Standard turnaround in days, not weeks. If something's too far gone we'll tell you straight — no padded invoices for jobs that won't deliver.

CASE · SVC-005 Engineering

Custom engineering.

Symptom: "We need something built that doesn't exist off the shelf." Non-standard production. Bespoke modifications. One-offs.

If you can describe what it needs to do, we can engineer it. British steel, machined in Barnsley. Drawings on request before we cut metal. Most non-standard jobs that get quoted "impossible" by the OEMs are not actually impossible — they're just unprofitable for OEMs to bother with.

Common symptoms

Sound familiar? Ring us.

The things press engineers actually search for, in the language they actually use. If your problem looks like one of these, we've fixed it before.

If it's not on this list and we can't help, we'll tell you straight — and usually point you at someone who can.
