Project JK
JK Machinery saw an opportunity to upgrade redundant label presses to match the needs of modern production.
We purchased a 1979 Mark Andy 4120 with the idea of bringing the old machine into the 21st century. We upgraded the machine to be fully operated by servos, having the main drive, the infeed and the outfeed controlled by Mitsubishi servos to give you a closed loop tension system.
Our label press projects also include a full re-spray and refurbishment of the machine.
Following on from the success of our first project, we have since refurbished Mark Andy's for customers in United States, Middle East and Poland.
We're currently in the process of upgrading the same Mark Andy 4120 to be the forefront of the JK Project. This upgrade includes all of the previous upgrades with the addition of all print stations now being servo driven to enable re-registration if required. We have also installed the brand new intelligent Mitsubishi FR-A800-R2R inverters which are used on both the rewind and unwind systems on the machine. The machine is now being run by a 10 axis closed loop system.
The benefits of purchasing a refurbished machine from JK Machinery are that we are able to ensure they provide the efficiently and relatability of a brand new machine but at a fraction of the cost.
